The VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle announced in October 2017 was VIRPIL’s first entry in the throttle controller category. With help from the community and testers, the initial design developed into the final version which was released in mid-2018.

We’re incredibly pleased that the MongoosT-50 Throttle has proven to be such a popular addition to many VIRPIL’s cockpits! Since it’s release we’ve been closely listening to feedback provided by the community and owners…

Based on that feedback, we’re excited to introduce the VPC MongoosT-50CM Throttle!

The grip handles on the VPC MongoosT-50CM Throttle have been completely redesigned to offer unparalleled functionality. The full feature list of the grip handles:

  • ★ 1 x 8-Way Hat + Push
  • ★ 3 x 4-Way Hat + Push
  • ★ 1 x 2-Way Hat + Push
  • ★ 1 x Encoder Dial
  • ★ 4 x Momentary Push Buttons
  • ★ 1 x Toggle Switch
  • ★ 1 x Slider Axis
  • ★ 1 x Analogue Ministick

The base design and feature list remains the same as the standard VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle:

  • ★ 9 x Buttons
  • ★ 6 x Toggle Switches (2 x Latched, 4 x Momentary)
  • ★ 1 x Mode Dial
  • ★ 2 x Axis Dials
  • ★ 3 x Encoder Dials (+ Push)
  • ★ 2 x Throttle Axes (VPC Contactless)
  • ★ 1 x Auxiliary Axis (VPC Contactless)

However, to simplify the mechanics the throttle axis detents have been removed.

Today, the VIRPIL Controls WorldWide webstore will be stocked with the final batch of the standard VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle and will be offered at a discounted price of 284,95 EUR.

The VPC MongoosT-50CM Throttle will be available in July 2019 for 349,95 EUR.

We would also like to confirm that everyone who has an open pre-order for the standard VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle has been contacted directly via email and will be upgraded to the new MongoosT-50CM Throttle!
